Paddlesport Racers Association – Milton Keynes
Being out on the water whether it be the open sea or an inland lake is a great experience. The buzz of competition is a great driver for our personal development. Putting the two together gives us the opportunity to develop individuals and teams of both able bodied and disabled paddlers to compete both here is the UK and internationally.
Paracanoeing is now and Olympic sport and we are here to help develop budding racers whatever their abilities.
For more information visit our website and contact us.
We are embarking on a project to provide access to canoe racing for the physically handicapped. We are currently aiming to secure the funding needed to provide the boats, trailer, paddles and buoyancy aids to enable us to deliver race canoeing to the physically disabled of the Milton Keynes area.
Using OC6 canoes (as in first picture), 2 man OC2 training canoes and V1 race canoes we aim to develop both able bodied and disabled alongside each other.
Sprint Canoeing is now a recognised event in the Paraolympics and we want to aid the development of the athletes of the future. If you want to become involved as an athlete, coach or support contact Richard on riparrott @ mac dot com for further details.
